About EcoArts

EcoArts is a new event, a new model, a new way of thinking bringing together people from all walks of life – to investigate the realities of climate change and celebrate the delights of a sustainable future in a conversation sparked by the arts.

EcoArts 07 was held September 14 – October 6, 2007 and some events including the “Weather Report: Art and Climate Change” exhibit go on until December 21.

EcoArts 07 linked together an extraordinary series of national and local events in Boulder, Denver, Ft. Collins, Golden, and Lyons, Colorado presented by 28 major science, arts, environmental, indigenous, educational, and other organizations and institutions.

Highlights included a major national arts exhibition, a gathering of indigenous participants, science activities for kids and adults, expos on sustainable living, and performances, talks, fairs, feasts, films, and parades – plus tours of solar homes, culinary gardens, science exhibits, coal-fired power plants, wind farms, and more.

EcoArts 07 was a wonderful success! Thanks to all who made it possible.

EcoArts 08 is in the planning stages. Check back soon for more information, or to volunteer, contribute, sponsor, or otherwise get involved, email info.ecoarts@gmail.com.
